Making a Budget 101

Who really likes to budget?  Budgeting can help you take control of your finances.  As Rachel Cruze would day budgeting can even give you permission to spend.   Sometimes getting started is as easy as writing it done on a piece of paper. I use my happy planner to keep me organized every month.

 

 

Here is an example to help you get started on your budget.

 

Income 

Start with your monthly income. This includes your paycheck, side hustle, alimony, child support, etc. 

 

 

Monthly Bills

Mortgage

Homes Owner Insurance

Auto Insurance

Utility Bill

Phone Bill

Internet

Cable

 

Living Expenses

Needs (Clothing, Toiletries, etc).

Groceries

Gas

Baby Expenses (diapers, daycare, etc). 

 

Saving/Emergency Fund

 

Monthly savings for a rainy day. This is your savings goal.

Night out with friends
