Dealing with life changes

March 28, 2018

These last two months have been a world win. I haven't been as present as I wanted to be on my blog.  In January my husband and I found out that my landlord wanted to sell his house. So we started looking for places in January, and we just moved at the end of February.  I hate everything about moving including packing, boxes, tape, etc.  With making this change in my life, I became very frustrated.  What I found though in making this change it really was a blessing in disguise.

This move ended up being a good life change because

We ended up saving money on rent

Since the beginning of the year, I have been following Dave Ramsey.  Dave Ramsey is the financial guru.  I am currently on a journey to become debt free.  Moving saved us $200 in rent each month.

Drive time to work

My drive time to work is better.  I saved 14 minutes on my drive time.  It use to take me 30 minutes to get to work.

Family

I ended up moving closer to my family.  My sister and I live two minutes apart now, and I am closer to my cousins.

I gained an extra bathroom

Yes, an extra bathroom can make a difference.  The house we had only had one bathroom. Now we have two!

I say all this to say life changes can be a good thing. Whatever change you are facing at the moment find the positive in it.  You may find that the change wasn't so bad, to begin with.
