As a new mom, we are so excited about having a baby. We get in mommy mode and sometimes we go over budget. After getting wonderful gifts and buying things I wanted for my son I found things that worked for me.
So, besides the main essentials needed for a baby, these are items I couldn’t live without.
I talked about this Hippo in my last blog. This Hippo is very soothing and it puts my son to sleep every night.
2. Bottle Drying Rack
Oh, what a bottle rack can do for you to keep you organized. I received a bottle rack as a baby shower gift and I love it. It keeps me from having bottles everywhere and cluttering my dish rack.
3. Baby Bouncer
A bouncer can do wonders when you’re trying to move around the house and get things done. My son would sit in his bouncer and watch me do homework or clean up the house. After six months when my son started crawling the bouncer no longer worked : ).
The name sounds crazy, but I will forever use WubbaNubs as long as they exist. The pacifier that they give you at the hospital is awesome but it’s small and gets lost everywhere. The Wubbanub is simply a pacifier and a soft toy sown together. The link is below to learn more about it.
5. Video Monitor
I have the Summer Infant 5” Wide View Digital Video Baby Monitor. I love having a monitor because I can see my son while he is sleeping. It also eases my anxiety of him sleeping alone. The one that I have is in a link below.
6. Boppy Nursing Pillow
This pillow was a saving grace when I was breastfeeding. My son still uses it today when he is sitting up drinking his bottle.
7. Baby Bottle Cooler
I love having a bottle cooler, it is good for traveling and when you take your baby to the sitter. The cooler can keep milk fresh up to four hours.
8. Bulb nasal aspirator
I have a nasal aspirator in my bedroom and in the living room, it always comes in handy.
9. Burp Cloths
I can say a lot about baby spit up but I won’t. My son had a very sensitive tummy, he started spitting up after every feeding. So, burp cloths kept me from messing up my clean towels.
This list is just the beginning, I know it will continue to grow as I grow as a mom. Ladies, what items can’t you live without?
